Too many students graduate unprepared for what comes next.

Nationally, 86% of students graduate high school — but 72% of those graduates aren’t considered ready for what comes next. In Texas, the numbers tell the same story. We’re here to change that. We’ve been in Houston classrooms since 2017. In 2026, we’re launching our full four-part curriculum in schools across the Houston area, with a model built to scale. Schools are working to prepare students academically. But there’s a gap that no report card addresses. But there’s a gap no report card addresses — and the data is stark. Students are leaving high school without the tools to navigate what comes after it — not because they lack potential, but because no one has equipped them with the skills, knowledge, or direction they need.

We don’t just see an education gap. We see a life gap — and we’re here to close it.

Since our first workshop in 2017, Bases Loaded Learning has had the privilege of working alongside organizations that share our commitment to Houston’s youth. We’ve delivered summer mentorship programming with Microsoft’s BAM Houston initiative, supported various community development efforts, and brought in-school workshops directly to students in Aldine ISD. These partnerships have shaped our curriculum, sharpened our approach, and confirmed what we’ve always believed — that when schools, businesses, and community organizations come together around students, the results are transformational. In 2026, we’re launching our full customized curriculum across multiple Houston-area schools — bringing a structured, proven framework to more students than ever before.
